The Cairn Terrier Centenary Show 25/04/2010

It was an honour and a privilege to have judged the Dog classes at this prestigious show, which is a milestone in the CTC history.

The organisation for the event was superb, but the logistics involved was made difficult, due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland, affecting flights to the mainland, but thank fully most exhibitors and visitors, of which there were many, managed the journey. This shows how much such an event meant to the Cairn terrier fraternity.

My thanks to the officers and committee for their hospitality, making it a weekend to remember, also to the hard working stewards.

The overall quality was generally good, but some heads were spoilt by incorrect ear placement.

Although rear movement has a times been a problem, front movement in some exhibits was poor, with a few exhibits straight in upper arm and lacked fore chest, and several had incorrect bites.

It was good that together with colleague Mr Bob Croyman who judged bitches that we were able to agree on major awards.
