CRITIQUE
THE CAIRN TERRIER CLUB MEMBERS LIMITED BREED SHOW
Saturday 12th June 2010
I would like to thank everyone for making my day so special, the committee, my steward Betty Shaw who made my job so much easier and all the exhibitors for allowing me to go over there dogs. I would also like to thank the club for my lovely gift ( I did drink a toast to England out of one before their first world cup game that night but it did not do them much good!)
Minor Puppy Dog 2 ( 1AB )
1 Cameron’s Stryveling Rocket Man – 8 month red brindle with attractive head and expression, correct mouth, good length of neck, shoulders, level top line with correct tail set. Moved well in front but a little close behind. Very showy.

Junior Dog 4
1 Buchan’s Auchinkyle Super Stan – red brindle with nice head, good length of neck and correct shoulders. Good spring of rib, level top line. Moved well. RBD
2 Lamb & Saltmarsh’s Birselaw Fable – grey brindle, bigger type than 1, masculine head, dark eyes with correct expression. Good neck, shoulders and spring of rib. Moved ok, a little proud of his tail at times.
3 Torrens Cornton Ruaridh Dhu
Novice Dog 2
1 Torrens Cornton Ruaridh Dhu – grey brindle, well up on legs, masculine head, good mouth , level top line, correct tail set.
2 Sinclair’s Larchlea Hard Day’s Night – red brindle well up to size and carrying excess weight. Nice head and expression, good mouth. Very short on coat.
Post Graduate Dog 3 ( 1AB )
1 Smith’s Strathview Country Squire – grey brindle, good head, eyes, neat ears. Good sized body but carrying too much weight. Level top line, good tail set. Showed ok.
2 Rutherford’s Chapelways Cheeky Wee Man At Kirkgreen – grey brindle with typical head and expression. Coat of correct texture but rather too long and profuse. Would not settle on table and give his handler a hard time in the ring.
Open Dog 4 ( 2AB )
1 Catto’s Birselaw Follow Your Dream – lovely grey brindle, up to size but very well balanced. Masculine head and expression, good mouth, nice length of neck, correct shoulders and front, good spring of rib. Level top line which he held on the move, correct tail set. Moved with drive and showed well. BD & BIS

3 lovely pups!
1 Cameron’s Stryveling Sweet Caroline – 8 month wheaten who is aptly named. Lovely feminine head with dark eyes and mischievous expression, good mouth. Level top line and correct tail set. Moved well and showed all out. BP
2 Shaw’s Honeyhall High’N’Dry – wheaten, just turned 6 months, lovely head and expression, good dentition. Shown in good harsh coat. Moved well once settled.
3 Smith’s Anjofra Plum Tart At Rocasvale.
Puppy Bitch 3 ( 1AB )
1 Catto’s Birselaw Sweet Breeze – wheaten brindle, 10 month compact bitch who handles well on the table. Lovely head and expression, good top line and tail set. Profuse coat which made her look a little overweight. Moved well once settled and showed like a veteran.
2 Miller’s Cornton Badgers Hope – wheaten brindle, lovely head and expression, dark eyes, good stop and mouth. Short on coat but what’s there is of correct texture. Not moving or showing as I have seen her do in the past.
Junior Bitch 3
1 Catto’s Birselaw Any Dream Will Do – wheaten with the best of heads, good mouth, correct shoulders and front. Good spring of rib, level top line which she holds on the move. Coat of good quality, if a little short. Moved with drive and never stopped showing. Just missed out on top honours through maturity. BB & RBIS

Novice Bitch 5 ( 1AB )
1 Shaw’s Honeyhall Hipsway – red brindle, just 6 months of age but with so much confidence. Lovely head and expression, correct mouth, top line and tail set. Shown in good harsh jacket, moved ok and showed well.
2 Miller’s Cornton Reay
3 Dawson’s Sybster Sauvignon
