CTC Critique
It was a pleasure to be invited to judge CTC. Thanks to the committee and to my stewards Betty Shaw and Margaret Skelton and also to the club for my beautiful gift. I thoroughly enjoyed my day.
Minor Puppy Dog (1)
1st Lamb and Saltmarsh’s Renshaw There and Back Again. Mature 8month brindle with a pleasing head with deep stop, correct bite, good rear angulation, showing good tail set. Moved freely.
Puppy Dog (2, 1A)
1st & Best Special New Members McDougall’s Brandarsaig Robert Brogue. Wheaten very short of coat, head needs more furnishings which will improve expression. Movement was quite loose in front, which could possibly be helped with more exercise and with maturity. A very happy showy dog overall.
Junior Dog (2)
1st BD & BIS Templeton’s Larchlea I Want To Break Free. Dark 14 month with a fantastic head and an excellent clean mouth, medium all over, very well presented with an impressive outline and good muscle tone.
2nd Fortune’s Eglish Spitting Image With Essdeeeff. Pleasing head, good coat, kept level top line whilst moving, preferred balance and movement of 1st.
Novice Dog (6, 1A)
1st RBD Cameron’s Stryveling Rocket Man. Well balanced red brindle dog with masculine head, and large teeth. Good length of neck which flowed into well placed shoulders. Shown with a good harsh coat. Moved with drive around the ring.
2nd Fortune’s Eglish Wee Willies Man With Essdeeeff. Nice head, level top line good tail set, a bit short of coat today. Obviously doesn’t miss any meals!
3rd Fortune’s Eglish Spitting Image With Essdeeeff.
Post Graduate Dog (2)
1st Fortune’s Eglish Spitting Image With Essdeeeff.2nd Sinclair’s Larchlea Hard Day’s Night. This grey brindle dog was well up to size, shown in very short coat, moved freely keeping his straight top line. Well handled.
Open Dog (4, 1A)
1st Berrecloth’s Sybster Shiraz SHCM. Very attractive Light wheaten of medium size loved his head and expression, excellent coat quality, well presented, a little proud of his tail at times which detracts from his outline. Shown in very fit condition which was demonstrated in his positive movement.
2nd Lamb and Saltmarsh’s Birselaw Fable. Grey Brindle, typical head with dark eyes, good depth of chest and spring of rib. Shown in full coat moved freely.
3rd Buchan’s Auchinkyle Super Stan At Drayem.

Minor Puppy Bitch (0)
Puppy Bitch (3)
1st Catto’s Birselaw Blowin’ In The Wind. Attractive brindle with good angulation back and front, medium length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders, shown in full coat.
2nd Bustards’s Tushtagh True Gem. Very pretty face, appeared to have been recently stripped out. Quite playful on the move which made her movement difficult to assess.
3rd Buchan’s Carradine Little Cracker At Drayem.

I was very impressed by the muscle tone on this bitch.
2nd Berrecloth’s Sybster Sunday Best.
3rd Miller’s Cornton Badger’s Hope.
